Thankful for the little things
My family has been going through a lot, and so I've realized that I can only battle the darkness with praising God.
1. PAY DAY! =)
2. Having 3 of my 4 daily bus drivers slow down and wait for me as I made a mad dash for the bus stop.
*WHEW*
3. Having my fourth bus driver actually arrive ON TIME!
4. Getting a big meal for lunch...mmmmm...
5. Passing my 3 CSET subtests! WOO HOO!! =***)))))))) (happy tears!)
6. Having my MS students at the school I volunteer at actually talk to me like I'm the teacher!
7. Feeling like I'm being productive!
8. NOT getting soaked!
9. Having a warm coat, gloves and hat...I really feel for those homeless people who have to freeze out there! =\
10. Having family to love me...in spite of me being me...
11. Having a great worship team!
12. Having great friends who are willing to pray for me and my family and who let me do the same for them! =)

Nail Polish
As a girl who doesn't normally wear nail polish/simply takes it off after the a day...I've realized how girlie I feel when I wear it. I even hold my hands differently and try to be more "nail conscious" as I do things...it's quite sad, and yet I'm so entranced by my nails. They're so glossy and pretty...(I'm using a really light pinky shade)...disgusting...I KNOW!

God describes some people as being like horses or mules that have to be controlled by bits and bridles. Rather than letting God guide them step by step, they stubbornly leave God only one option. If God wants to keep them useful for him, he must use discipline and punishment. God longs to guide us with love and wisdom rather than punishment. He offers to teach us the best way to go. Accept the advice written in God's Word and don't let your stubbornness keep you from obeying God.

Blessings of the year/summer:
-Got my driver’s license...FINALLY, I know!
-Went on a trip by myself
-Getting a cell phone that isn’t a “pay as you go” phone
-Got to see JFK, Minneapolis, Washington DC, Baltimore, and the Atlantic Ocean
-Did Day Camp without falling asleep…hehe…jk…missing the kids, and not wanting it to end
-Being able to love on my kid even though he’s hard to love
-Getting to see Kim & Dan Get married
-Growing with brothers and sisters as we co-labor together in Summer School & Day Camp
-Getting outside, getting my vitamin D, and doing physical activities
-Sharing the Gospel with my kids and them sincerely WANTING to believe in God =)…*heart melt*
-Having a kid’s parents tell me that they would pay me to tutor their daughter if I wasn’t coming back next year
-Memorizing Romans 12 & learning about my spiritual gifts
-Getting a postcard from South Dakota
-Getting an Anne of Green Gables purse!
-Milk carton boat races, paper plane contest, & invention sales
-Building sand castles mansions, getting soaked on water rides, screaming at the top of your lungs, kettle corn, sushi, crepes, balloon twisting, "little people" & UP skits, and a scavenger hunt through SF Chinatown
-Someone caring enough to try and set me up with someone…it was a good try!
-“A” wanting to meet “S”…;)…been praying about that one for years =P
-Seeing my students at random places
-Spending a lot of my paycheck on my students
-Going swimming…it’s been SO, SO long…=)…I think I truly am a fish…hehehe…rock climbing, hiking, skiing, etc. are not my forte…=P
-Feeling like God is equipping me and guiding me towards what He wants for my life…

I feel like I just came back from a long vacation...and I'm not sure why...
Perhaps it's all this sunshine after all the rain,
Or that this weekend Elaine & Dee got married,
Or that my brother was back,
Or that I had dinner with relatives I usually only see on special days...
Or simply all the pictures I've been taking with my digital camera...
